Baby Update

As of our last Doctors visit, they seem to think he is going to be early. Apparently he's all lined up and ready to roll. Steph needs to be careful to keep her legs together so he doesn't fall out. She is having some swelling and her blood pressure has been up a bit, so I guess because of these things they don't seem to think she will make it full term. They say that mom and baby are doing great though, and said that if he decides to come, he would be just fine.

My Favorite Shower Gift

Steph Pregnant

Here are a few pictures of Steph pregnant that I've been able to sneak. The doctor is pretty adamant about making sure she is excersizing, and for a long time Steph thought that mowing the grass in 95 degree heat at 6-7 months pregnant was good exercise. I've finally got her talked out of doing that anymore, but all the neighbors think I'm a slave driver.

Nursery Complete

Its been a while since I've posted something and we've been pretty busy. The nursery is complete and full of wonderful gifts from the two baby showers that Steph has had so far. We've assembled the crib, and some of the other baby items. I switched all of the outlets and switches from cream to white and replaced the coverplates. No more open electrical boxes for baby's fingers.

Nesting Begins!

I might get in trouble for this one...

Pregnant Bridesmaid

Steph's Friend Amanda got married last weekend, and we have some rare pictures of the ever elusive baby bump...

I don't know what Steph is laughing at, but it must've been funny.

Steph and Nate compare. He is about 3 weeks farther along than Steph is. They don't know the sex yet, but he's pulling for a boy...

Crazy Eyes

So, what do you get when you combine crazy eyes here to the left with some power tools (below), and a long night doing whatever his pregnant wife tells him to do?

You get a fully painted nursery, a chair rail, some blinds and a ceiling fan installed. Fo sheezy! The Nursery is begining to take shape and I still have all my limbs. The air compressor and nail gun were life savers when it came to puttin up the chair rail. Kudos to daddy for the sweet christmas gift. This really cut down on dents in the wall, bent nails, and saved a ton of time. After I finished the chair rail, Steph decided SHE was going to hang the blinds. Seemed like a simple enough task. An hour and a half later I finished putting them up. Talk about a pain. I was feeling like Bob Vila after I put up the chair rail, but the blinds put me in my place. Lots of profanity and monkey like gestures of frustration.

After we got the blinds up, it was about 10:00pm, and Steph decided that the ceiling fan needed to be hung. To hang the fan, the old light fixture needs to be removed. Needless to say, at 10 o'clock at night, there isn't too much light from outside. So, I got to hang a ceiling fan while Steph held the flashlight. Tons of fun. Remarkably, everything worked on the first try. Back to Bob Vila status. Sweet!

We picked up the crib last week courtesy of a borrowed truck from Jamie-san. It is still in the box and will be until we get the carpet down in the baby's room, but at least it is in our possesion (a heck of a lot better than the Kittles fiasco). Hopefully we will have the room completely ready by the end of the month.
